1. Consent to Receive Messages
By giving us your mobile number on a web form, on an intake or consent document, in person, or through another medium, you agree to receive SMS text messages from River City Comprehensive Counseling Services at that number. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving any service from us.
2. Types of Messages You May Receive
- Conversations (external): two-way messages between our staff and clients, prospective clients, referral sources, and others who contact us.
- Conversations (between employees): internal operational messages between River City staff.
- Appointment reminders, scheduling changes, and intake follow-up.
- Service updates, office closures, and other account notifications.
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and our messages carry no more detail about your care than is needed to confirm an appointment or continue a conversation you started.
3. Message Frequency
Messaging frequency may vary. How often you hear from us depends on the conversation you are having with our staff and on the appointments or services tied to your number.

Message and data rates may apply. Any charges are billed by, and payable to, your mobile service provider. We do not charge for text messages.
5. Opting Out
To opt out at any time, text STOP. You will receive one confirmation message, and we will send no further texts to that number. You may also ask any staff member to remove your number or call us at 804-230-0999. Opting out of text messages does not end your services with us and does not stop other contact, such as phone calls or mail.

7. Delivery and Carriers
Message delivery depends on your mobile carrier and your device. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages, and we cannot guarantee that every message will be delivered.
