  • Adults 21 and older
  • Three-hour group sessions are offered with flexible scheduling, for a minimum requirement of three groups per week.
  • Common topics include relapse prevention techniques & skills,

identifying & understanding additive behavior and triggers,

and risk management training.

  • PHP is the next higher level of care for individuals who are not

making optimal recovery progress in IOP.

  • Adults 21 and older
  • Five-hour group sessions are offered for a minimum requirement of five groups per week.

Substance Use Peer Support Services (PRS)

Substance Use Case Management Services

  • Adults 21 and older
  • Clients work with a peer who has achieved long-term sobriety for additional support in linkage to community resources.
  • Peers use their similar life experiences to meet the client where they're at in their recovery
  • Adults 21 and older
  • Case managers assist in connecting individuals to community resources in order to

gain independence and manage basic needs and life skills.

  • Case managers perform anywhere from 2-3 case management activities per month,

depending on the individual's current needs

Driver Safety Treatment Program (DST)

RCCCS is an eligible provider with the Virgina Alcohol and Safety Action Program (VASAP). We

are entrusted to evaluate referred clients and prepare them for success as they reintegrate back

onto the road as licensed drivers. We assist individuals with meeting specific criteria for court,

VASAP, DMV, and any third party referral sources.

  • Complete and submit intake packet found here.
  • Once submitted, a member of our Admissions Team will reach out to schedule an intake appointment.
  • VASAP clients must contact their VASAP Case Manager to send the VASAP referral before the date of the intake appointment
  • Driver Safety Treatment Group Classes
  • Individual Therapy Sessions
  • Have been charged with a DUI and are awaiting trial
  • Have been convicted of a DUI/DWI and must complete treatment
  • Are referred by VASAP
  • Anyone experiencing a dependence on alcohol or other illicit substances and may need additional support.

  • For individuals experiencing a severe decline in their mental and emotional well being.
  • Children & adolescents who are transitioning back home from an out-of-home placement, or are currently at risk of an out-of-home placement.
  • Services include individual and family counseling, case management, and support services in the child’s residence.
  • Services include individual and family counseling, 24-hour on call support, and connection to community resources

River City assists our veterans with all aspects of the job search process. We work with individuals to overcome barriers that have made finding meaningful employment difficult. Each participant is assessed to determine their unique needs, and services range from resume assistance to mental health counseling.
