River City believes that treatment and recovery from emotional, mental, and behavioral conditions can be achieved through a comprehensive approach to a client’s needs. We offer a supportive and evidenced-based approach that provides clients and their families with the skills, empowerment, hope and connection to community resources that makes treatment successful and recovery possible. Although symptoms and situations may recur through the treatment and recovery processes, River City focuses on the solution, not the problem.

Our comprehensive and structured program of care provides clients and their families with a constellation of structured supports that include, but are not limited to: individual, family, and group counseling and therapy; crisis intervention and treatment; and a myriad of psychosocial skills training aimed at increasing the client's and their family's overall functioning.

River City is a proud supporter of the Virginia Children's Services Transformation: CORE Practice Model, National Alliance of the Mental Illness (NAMI), local mental health associations, and many of its employees are members of professional organizations such as the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). We are also corporate members of the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, Minority Business Enterprise, Better Business Bureau (BBB), Central Contractor's Registration (CCR), and Electronic Virginia (EVA).
